Hi, I’m Ciara (keer-ah).

I am currently undertaking a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at University College Cork, Ireland, with the goal of building a career at the intersection of law, technology, and society. My professional experiences in the technology startup world — particularly in the AI sector — sparked my interest in how legal frameworks can guide innovation responsibly while protecting the public good.

Before returning to Cork, I spent six years in San Francisco working with early-stage companies. As a founding team member at Oumi, an AI startup committed to making AI unconditionally open, I continue to contribute part-time while focusing on my studies. These experiences have sharpened my interest in technology law, AI regulation, and the broader societal impact of innovation.

I originally graduated from University College Cork in 2019 with a degree in English Literature and Psychology (earning a First Class Honours and title of “College Scholar”). That background continues to ground my work in curiosity, critical thinking, and strong communication — skills I now bring to both my studies and my professional pursuits.

Outside of studies and work, you’ll find me reading, writing, or walking - usually with a coffee in hand.
