Hi, I’m Ciara (keer-ah).
I am currently undertaking a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at University College Cork, Ireland, to build a career at the intersection of law and technology. My professional experience in the technology startup world, particularly in the AI sector, sparked my interest in how legal frameworks can guide innovation responsibly to ensure the humane development of technology.
Before returning to Cork, I spent six years in San Francisco working with early-stage companies. As a founding team member at Oumi, an AI startup committed to making AI unconditionally open, I continue to contribute part-time while focusing on my studies. These experiences have sharpened my interest in technology law, AI regulation, and the broader societal impact of innovation.
I originally graduated from University College Cork in 2019 with a degree in English Literature and Psychology (earning a First Class Honours and the title of “College Scholar”). That background continues to ground my work in curiosity, critical thinking, and strong communication.
Outside of studies and work, you’ll find me reading, writing, or walking - usually with a coffee in hand.
